This Welder would be used mainly by trade professionals and serious home DIY users. It has ready to use gas and gasless modes. All that is changed with this set up is the polarity of the torch.
A gas torch uses a single positive torch, while a gasless MIG welder uses a negative torch. A gasless welder, or'self-shielding' welder can be used very easily out in the open, in high winds and in the elements. The torch should also be at the same position throughout the process.A gas welder needs to be used more in a protected area and here the torch should start far away from the weld, allowing it to inch closer as the rod melts slowly during the welding process. This welder is fan-cooled and easily moveable for different jobs.
